| Work Experience My research focus on the effects of environmental quality on pollen performance as measured by the number of seeds sired. Currently, I am conducting a study to examine the reproductive biology of an endemic species, Hygrophila pogonocalyx. In addition to field works, I also develop exhibits for the general public. As my role change from a research scientist to a science communicator, I am also interested in improving ways of designing exhibits which might promote the public understanding of science.
Since 2010, I was assigned to a new position as the chair of the science education department and was responsible for the development of a new science literacy framework for the museum. I also setup a new Science Learning Center at the museum in 2014. The goal of the center is to organize science-learning workshop for school science teachers on how to effectively adopting the rich and diverse learning resources from the museum. I stepped down from the chair position in 2017 but am still fully responsible for the business of the Science Learning Center. |
