| Main Duties I have been working in the library of National Museum of Natural Science since 1989. Working in the library is a challenge, especially in a library whose field covers zoology, botany, geology and anthropology. It is so important to keep going with learning for a member in a special library. I keep that in mind all the time and fortunately, I got a promotion with my paper – A Digital Library for Museum Applications in 1996.
Over the past years, I finished some tasks, such as Museology Database, Library Automation System and Museum Staff's Papers Management System. The first one is particularly helpful to the researchers in the museums and students of the department of museology. What is more, I compiled Museology Index in 1994.
Now I am responsible for library reference service, interlibrary loan, managing and maintaining of library automation system, updating and maintaining of library web, and library management. Library science is a service business. How to meet user's need is the important mission in library . I'll try to do my best and enjoy it. |
