Main Duties I have been conducting my museum career for more than twenty years since the first time I joined the preparation and establishment of the 3rd building in the National Museum of Nature Science. During this period, I have devoted most of my time to planning exhibitions including permanent, temporary and travelling exhibitions. With the approach of learning by doing, I have also played various roles such as project researcher, developer, manager, collector, coordinator, interpreter, editor, conceptual designer, and visitor evaluator, etc., for different kinds of exhibition and for exhibitions of different themes.
My exhibition development and related experience include (1) narration, survey and investigation of exhibition projects; (2) interpretation, communication, coordination and planning of exhibition projects; (3) instruction and development of exhibition design concept; (4) execution and monitoring of exhibition practices; (5) review and compilation of the related publication; (6) exhibition evaluation, visitors studies and Q-and-A services; (7) evaluation of exhibition environment and accounting of exhibition objects; (8) chair of exhibition education and training, and group growth; (9) contract and planning of traveling exhibition, etc.
The museum is a lifelong learning place for both the general public and museum staff. So I look forward to gaining more professional knowledge and practical techniques by learning from Phd programs and advanced museums, to promote more knowledgeable, attractive, interactive, open, educative, responsive, democratic, and popular museum events in the future. |
