| 摘要 | In this study in order to understand the origin and evolution of the Qaidam Massif in NE China, we analyzed SHRIMP, major and trace elements, and Sr-Nd isotopes of representative basement rocks exposed at Xiteshan and Lulaingshan belonging to the Dakendaban Group along the Northern Margin of the Qaidam microplate. In combination with previously published research results, the origin, age, and thermal events of the Qaidam Massif and its adjacent areas are discussed.
Based on the geochemical, isotopic, and SHRIMP zircon dating results of basement rocks, it was concluded that the Qaidam Massif is not a part of the North China Block, but the actual lower basement of the Qilian Block, which was pushed over the Qilian block during the Caledonian orogeny. The Qaidam Massif and Qilian Block belong to the same block in the Neoproterozoic era–the "Great Qilian Block". |
