| 摘要 | Euphorbia dioeca (Euphorbiaceae) is an annual creeping herb, newly naturalized in disturbed
lowland areas of southern Taiwan. It primarily grows in open grasslands and in cracks between roadside
paving stones. The species is native to Mexico and tropical America. Its most distinctive feature is its
distinctive milky-white to pink "flower-like" appearance with petal-like appendages, usually two of which
are significantly larger, giving it a butterfly-like appearance, which makes it easy to distinguish from other
taxa. In this paper, we provide a morphological description, photographs, and present relevant collection
and current distribution data in Taiwan. |
