| 摘要 | Since 1950s the Pingpu indigenous people whose ancestors were labeled ethnic ‘Cooked’ in their Japanese period Household Registers had not been officially recognized by Taiwan government. Not like Mountain and Plains indigenous people who were continuously recognized and conducted demographics, the population change of Pingpu indigenous people were unclear after 1935. In 2018, with the assistance of Program of Historical Demography, Academia Sinica and Dept. of Household Registration, MOI, we listed the pingpu ancestors by reading the Japanese period household registers of 5 pro-Cooked labeled villages, modeled the demographic grow by linking them to current citizens, and estimated the contemporary Pingpu indigenous people: 1.07M in 2018. |
