摘要Taiwan is rich in bamboo diversity, with 89 species, including ca. 6 economically important crops. Bambusicolous fungi, which grow on bamboo substrates such as leaves, culms, and roots, play crucial roles in bamboo ecosystems and nutrient cycling. Over 200 species of bambusicolous fungi have been recorded in Taiwan, including ca. 98 ascomycetes, 36 basidiomycetes, 9 zygomycetes, and 60 mitosporic fungi. Most are saprobes on decaying culms, although pathogens and endophytes have also been documented. However, the biodiversity of these fungi, especially those associated with non-economic bamboos, remains underexplored. This preliminary study examined 120 macrofungal basidiomycete specimens collected from bamboo substrates in Taiwan between 2023 and 2024, along with herbarium collections from Taiwanese bamboo substrates preserved at the National Museum of Natural Science. Based on morphological and phylogenetic analyses, we propose one new genus, Gelatinocorticium, and describe four new species: Aleurodiscus bambusicola, Efibula bambusicola, Gelatinocorticium bambusicola, and Gloeocystidiellum bambusicola. Additionally, we report three new records of Taiwan: Heterocorticium bambusicola, Trechispora bambusicola, and Tubulicium bambusicola.
