| 摘要 | Xylaria terricola has been collected from Lien-hua-chih Research Center of Taiwan Forestry Research Institute in spring every year since 1994. It produces only an anamorph on ground without a teleomorph developed. Phylogenetic analyses based on combined sequences of rpb2, β-tub and α-act indicated that X. terricola has a close affinity with the Xylaria species associated with termite nests. However, we did not find evidence indicating that X. terricola is associated with termite nests or other types of substrates other than soil despite that numerous excavations had been conducted by carefully tracing the rooting base downwards. |
