摘要In the last two decades, gravimeters have experienced evolutional development in terms of their accuracy and operational accessibility. As such, scientists can collect gravity signals at a given location and demand sampling rate covering their interested study area, These spatial-temporal registered gravity data, when paired with other geodetic observatins, such as GNSS and InSAR, provide a tool with great potential to explore the geophysics of the Earth. In this study, a transversely isotropic half-space is applied to predict the deformation due to faults or intrusion sources so that the observed geodetic data can be cross-compared. Moreover, we can have a general perspective for an ill-posed inversion problem in geophysics with the mechanic model being characterized by the geodetic data. The model in this study parameterizes the mechanic properties of medium of Earth crust and reproduces deformation including displacement, strain and gravity change at given locations. As an example, the south-west Taiwan area is presented, where the surface deformation has an annual uplift rate as large as 8cm/year due to fault movement and mud diapir activities.
