摘要 | This study describes research conducted in a state natural history museum in Taiwan, while the museum drew on the Benzene Ring Heuristic of scientific practice to integrating science education theory into its education practices. Since 2001, the museum built partnership with schools and social institutions related to education. Most schools and stakeholders confirmed that museum is a good resource for education, but these resource hard to fit in their science education schemes. This study tried to develop a scaffolding for engaging participants in exhibition through inquiry the debate of the dilemma between renewable energy installation and environment protection. Article includes three parts. First introduces the importance of natural history scenario in associating the controversy factors inside the Social Scientific Issue(SSI). Then clarified the difference of inquiry learning in school and in natural history scenario. The third part of this study described how did the museum scaffold their educational program, “Which Renewable Energy Installations You Would Choose”, for the gallery “Life on Earth”. This program modularized into four patterns by age, and concluded the advantage of Benzene Ring Heuristic of scientific practice, suggested several guidelines for scaffold a SSI education program in natural history museum. |
