| 摘要 | Hibiscus cannabinus L. is native to Africa and India, it is cultivated as a fiber crop. The seed oil is used industrially and in oil-lamps. Recently, we found naturalized to central, southern and eastern low altitudes in Taiwan. This species is usually found in roadside waste farm and grassland. It is distinct features for the corolla yellow with crimson center, epicalyx spiny and calyx long caudate and white tomentose, each with a gland at the base. In this study described to morphology, distributions, habitats, line drawing picture, and photos were provided. This is a new naturalized species to Flora of Taiwan. The morphology of Hibiscus cannabinus L. is very similar to Hibiscus sabdariffa L., and is distinguished from features of stem, epicaly, calyx and calyx lobe. |
